Frequently Asked Questions
What is Malasaña Cookies Strain?
Malasaña Cookies is mostly Indica variety by Exotic Seed. This hybrid strain is a cross between an elite clone of a male Herz OG and a female Thin Mint Cookies strain.
The Indica-dominant plant carries the best features of both varieties and is only available as feminized seeds. Malasaña Cookie is a primarily Indica dominant strain with high levels of THC and a complex aroma.
The hybrid strain is famous for its bud yields up to 500gm/m2 indoors. When grown in an open area, the yields can go as high as 650gm/m2.
Genetics: Thin Mint Cookies x Herz OG
What is its growing phase?
Malasaña Cookies carry an indoor flowering period of eight to nine weeks, after which the plant is ready for harvest.
Consumers growing marijuana for the first time can pay attention to its trichomes and look for any colour change. This will provide vital information regarding the bud’s ripeness. The plant is ready to cultivate if the trichomes turn amber.
October is the ideal harvesting period for users cultivating Malasaña Cookies in open ground in the northern hemisphere. This harvesting period changes to early April in the southern hemisphere.
Even though this Indica-dominant strain can withstand pest attacks and cold weather conditions, outdoor growers must still protect it against infestations
What yield can I expect?
Malasaña Cookies takes about eight weeks from germination to harvesting when grown indoors. An ideal indoor growing environment can yield 450-500 gr/m2.
In contrast, outdoor flowering results in much higher yields of up to 650g per plant. Besides, the plant is tall and can grow up to 2.5m in height if cultivated outdoors.
Malasaña Cookies is a very productive plant producing high-quality, potent resin-rich buds. Its sedative effect is more intense and long-lasting when the color turns to amber. These features made this hybrid strain an exciting and attractive choice for beginners and experienced alike.
What about its Appearance and Aroma?
The Indica-dominant plant resembles a thriving Kush structure. The flexible branches are close to the main stem and can double during the flowering phase.
Cannabis lovers are guaranteed to fall in love with the unique terpene profile delivering a complex aroma. Malasaña Cookies produces THC-rich buds that acquire a purple tone. Underneath the swollen buds is a frosty, white resin for a delicious feel.
Like its scented predecessors, Malasaña Cookies presents an intense aroma, containing a perfect blend of lemon biscuits and fresh lime. This exotic, herbal fragrance is elevated by an earthy nut-like scent, adding a classic touch to this potent plant.
How about its tasting notes and effects?
Flavours highlight concentrates rich in terpenes inherited by its aromatic parent strains. Consumers will enjoy its complex taste resembling honey and, in most cases, freshly baked cookies. This mixture creates a perfect blend of sugar-rich lemony banquets.
Malasaña Cookies deliver intense, long-lasting effects when inhaled. Thanks to Indica dominance, the plant carries high THC content, providing powerful psychoactive effects. Moreover, a slight Sativa influence ensures the strong high diminishes with time, and users can enjoy overwhelming body relaxing effects.

Caryophyllene Oxide (spicy)
Quality of the seeds were okay. The seeds appeared a tad small. 3 out of 5 germinated and 1 survived. Currently it’s flowering but it very very small
This bag of seeds was a little disappointing at first glance. I received a bag of 10 seeds and they were all very small. I’ve tried germinating 6 out of the 10, and 3 have made it through the seedling stage. The first seed died due to water drainage problems, but 2 of them died in prime conditions.
So far so good, hope they as good as they look, 3 out of 5 seeds popped the same thing with Critical Mass, was wondering if that’s the norm?
I’ve bought several strains from Seed King/Seedbank for a few years now, with 100% germination so far (15/15!) (the good old paper towel method in a baggie is what I have settled on). I have reviewed several. Just completed an all-Seedbank grow with GSC, Granddaddy and Platinum Cookies. 3g fabric pots in pure Coco. I have 2 2000 watt LED’s drawing a total of 420 watts from the wall. I have grown both GSC and GDP from a few other seed companies before with good success. Nice plants and good quality. I was excited to try Seedbank’s seeds to see how their supplier compares with these other sources. Just harvested and died/ cured for a couple of weeks:
Girl Scout Cookies: I grew three plants. Very consistent phenos. All three were monsters. I got 89grams, 120 g, and an incredible 149 grams of uniformly great cookies! Best so far of the GSC’s I’ve grown. Beefy buds; that dank, sour taste…you taste the sour on exhale like cookies should taste. (A prior version from another company was good, but both plants had a sweeter, more citrus sort of flavor). Just excellent. Only taken a few tokes so far of each plant, but it is super tasty and I’d say more Indica dominant. Nice head buzz and energy for a good hour or so after a few hits, then settles in to sitting and staring, lol. So far, Seedbank seeds have been so spot on in terms of expected pheno, and also in just producing consistently dense, potent buds. Knowing how to grow helps, but the genetics is what matters.
A couple of pics.
very happy week 2 of flower
Finally get a chance to try my hand at indoor farming. Germinated 5 and they all sprouted tap root using paper towel method. 4 out of the 5 sprouted in soil. Lost 3 in seedling phase. No experience with seedlings. But the last one is growing great. Hopefully not the last man in the tent, but topped a week ago and ready for another topping. About 5 weeks in soil so far. Product is as advertised near as I can figure.
