The Hawaii Partnership to Prevent Underage Drinking (HPPUD) was created to address the problem of underage drinking in the State of Hawaii. The members of the partnership represent county, state, and federal agencies, non-profit organizations, private businesses, and community residents concerned with the health of Hawaii’s youth. During monthly meetings we discuss strategies to reduce underage drinking and other issues related to youth alcohol use.

The Culinary Arts Summer Program at James Campbell HS is no cost to students who register through Weed & Seed Hawaiʻi. Students must apply and be accepted into the program. Selected students must attend all class sessions. Students who complete this 6-week (60hours) program may earn a 1⁄2 credit that will go toward his/her graduation requirement. Students must wear covered shoes and have hair pulled and tied back. Classes are Mondays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (please note dismissal time may vary). Weed and Seed Program – Summer 2022

The City of Las Cruces Parks & Recreation Department Weed and Seed program will begin registration for its Summer Program at 10 a.m. Monday, May 9, 2022, and will continue registration until the number of participants is filled.

The program is free, and limited spaces are available and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. It will serve students in grades from kindergarten to fifth grade.

The program will be at A. Fielder Memorial Safe Haven, 906 N. Tornillo St. and will consist of recreation, art activities, guest speakers, age-appropriate enrichment opportunities, and field trips in a safe, fun, and positive environment.

The program will begin Wednesday, June 1 and will continue to Friday, July 15. The program will meet from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday, and breakfast and lunch will be provided.

There will be no programming on Monday, June 20 and July 4 in observance of holidays.

Drop off and pick up to and from program is the responsibility of the parent or guardian.

Registration for the program will be at the following location during regular business hours.
